We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
Parents contribute to the building of the school community and help create a happy learning environment for our students both at home and in our school.
Communication
We keep parents updated on the latest school events and policies using Compass, our main communication tool and fortnightly newsletters. Additionally, parents are invited to attend parent forums, school assemblies, parent/teacher interviews and the parent engagement group.
Volunteering
Parents are invited to volunteer and play a greater part in the school community by:
- Helping to supervise sports carnivals and excursions
- Fundraising initiatives for charities
- Assisting in the library
- Attending special classes and school events and
- Assisting in the classrooms and canteen.
