Our Year 2 students recently embarked on an exciting excursion to the Australian Museum, where they immersed themselves in the captivating exhibitions on display. The visit provided a meaningful opportunity to connect their classroom learning about ancient civilisations—especially the rich and enduring culture of Indigenous Aboriginal Australians—with real-world artefacts and stories. Through engaging storytelling and hands-on activities, students deepened their understanding of the First Australians and gained a greater appreciation for the traditions, knowledge, and resilience of Aboriginal communities. Yesterday OLR held the Spelling Bee finals. Congratulations to the finalists. The were some very difficult words that the students were able to spell. Well done to all students who took part in the Spelling Bee. There were two rounds held prior to the finals to determine the five finalists in each grade. Thank you to our parents for joining us for the finals.
